A fine mix of soulfull, westcoast and acidjazz tunes, all written and performed by Torstens soulful vocals, combined with his tasty jazzguitar German soul singer and super guitarist Torsten Goods pours his very soul into our ears with "Soul Deep," his eighth album. Far more than just a follow-up to his successful album "Soul SearchingÓ, the twelve new tracks, either self-composed or co-written with his British soul brother Bluey Maunick of Incognito, present the 44-year-old as a mature artist, heavily influenced by soul, but also jazz, blues, and the summery West Coast/AOR sounds of late 70s California. As virtuosic as this music may be, as polished and well- produced as it is, the sounds of his voice(s) and instruments touch the soul of the listener. It's a balm and enrichment for everyone, profound and intense, and really "Soul Deep.
