Released in 1983, How Old Are You? marked Robin Gibbs triumphant return to solo work after a 13-year hiatus since Robins Reign. Co-produced with his brother Maurice Gibb, the album blends synth-pop, soft rock, and new wave textures with Robins signature emotional intensity. The lead single Juliet became a massive hit in Germany, topping the charts and driving the album to No. 6 nationally. Maurice played bass, synthesizer, piano, and guitar, while Bee Gees drummer Dennis Bryon handled drums and co-production duties. The Boneroo Horns added punchy brass arrangements, giving tracks like Danger and Hearts on Fire a vibrant edge. Robins vocals soar in a high range, distinct from Barrys falsetto, delivering heartfelt performances on Another Lonely Night in New York and I Believe in Miracles. The album was recorded at Middle Ear Studios in Miami Beach, with a crisp, electronic sound that reflects early 80s production trends. Though it didnt chart in the UK or US, it remains a cult favorite among Bee Gees fans and synth-pop collectors.
