PSEUDO FRUIT - Heavy Nydelig

'Heavy Nydelig' is a fruit bowl of playfulness, groove and depth - hitting fans of funky jazz related expressions as well as post-rock fiends. They mix their rock and experimental backgrounds in an impressive balance in an expression telling that the members are musically connected to an extent most bands can only dream of. There is so much fun in their sound, quite possibly due to the fact that they’ve put the groove and the organic rawness to the front - and the complicated, weary and long studio proccesses away. From the opener ’Tre Planeter’ we are sucked into their universe. A track showing both the noisey heaviness and the groove, before the more downbeat title track follows and the 90’s noisey rock elements floats across a previous single track or two. Bumping into 70s detective themes, playing with math rock elements on the debut track ’Troppo’ and landing it all with the mellow ’Usynlig speil’. Impressively varied and genre-bending all the way through, and a sure shot for alt. rock, jazz, jazz rock and groovy math rock fans as well as something for the post rock crowd. The trio consist of member from Moon Relay, Jenny Hval, Delish, Deep Thoukus, Dråpe, Bonanza of Doom, Monkey Plot and S.L.Y.C. - to name a few. Often heard working with more processed sound structures in other projects, but with Pseudo Fruit the sound is stripped organically down to great success. The result is playful and open as the drums, guitar, bass and organ gets the space needed to play together without overcompensating in any way. On the contrary: Pseudo Fruit embraces the basic sounds of their instruments and the connection between them.
