Released in 1986, Sewertime Blues is a raw and raucous statement from psychobilly pioneers The Meteors. Fueled by horror themes, punk energy, and rockabilly swagger, the album delivers twelve tracks of unfiltered attitude and sonic mayhem. P. Paul Fenech leads the charge with snarling vocals and razor-sharp guitar riffs, backed by Austin H. Stones on bass and Spider Cubitt on drums. The sound is gritty, fast, and unapologetically wild, blending surf licks, garage rock, and twisted storytelling. From the jungle stomp of Deep Dark Jungle to the manic pulse of I Bury The Living, the album is a nonstop ride through the darker corners of rocknroll. Sewertime Blues captures The Meteors at their most feral and inventive, pushing psychobilly into new, chaotic territory. The production is deliberately rough-edged, amplifying the bands underground ethos. Ideal for fans of punk, horror rock, and outsider culture. A cult classic that remains a cornerstone of the genre - only The Meteors are pure psychobilly.
