Comeback album from legendary hard-rock/metal band Trance!?Along with Accept and Scorpions TRANCE was the most successful and one of the?earliest Heavy Metal bands from Germany. Their first two albums Break Out and?Power Infusion (1982, 1983) are not just well-respected classics of the genre?German Metal but also being called influential by many bands worldwide. The?third LP Victory 1985 was produced at Dierks Studios and includes the fan favorite?Break The Chains. TRANCE were touring Europe with support acts like Warlock?and Steeler and played the famous Aardshock Festival with bands like Raven,?Vandenberg and Mercyful Fate. Wrong business decisions made it impossible to get?on the next and final level and even they've entered the Japanese charts in the?nineties TRANCE gave up.?A reunion in 2008 featuring original guitar player/songwriter Markus Berger and?bassist Thomas Klein was more or less on local basis. With the addition of singer?Joe Strubel the band was able to perform old and new songs again. A preproduction?demo was recorded which was heard by manager Mike Moller?(Subsignal, Manilla Road) who brought in producer Ingo Czajkowski (Rage,?Subsignal) for the work on the first new album since many years. Some final line-up?changes were necessary before this huge step. Drummer Neudi joined the band?during the recordings but another drummer (Jens Gellner from Masters Of Disguise)?needed to be added as Neudi is also busy with Manilla Road (USA) and?Roxxcalibur. As a second guitar player TRANCE found Eddie St. James who was a?part of the eighties LA-scene and who did a soloalbum for Capitol Records before?he moved to Germany in the nineties. Prior to the album release TRANCE was able?to play several shows and festivals with bands like Demon or Brainstorm. In?December 2016 they were support act on the Dirkschneider farewell tour.?The Loser Strikes Back is not just the definite return of a German legend but also a?big and expensive production without any fakes regarding modern studio?techniques. Beside the remake of the band's classic Loser you can find two songs?that were written but never recorded in the early days of TRANCE (Thunderbird?Rising and Live & Heavy). But also the new material proves that the old magic is?still there and that Markus Berger still is able to write songs that are without any?doubt TRANCE.
