Ramses Shaffy is one of the greatest and most beloved chansonniers the Netherlands has ever known. His music has touched generations and remains vibrant to this day. The compilation album Laat Me (Let Me) brings together his most iconic songs, including the unforgettable title track Laat Me, as well as classics like Sammy, Zing, Vecht, Huil, Bid, Lach, Werk en Bewonder (Sing, Fight, Cry, Pray, Lach, Werk en Bewonder) and the enchanting Pastorale with Liesbeth List. Although Ramses passed away in 2009 at the age of 76, his legacy continues to grow. Starting March 10, NPO2 will broadcast the new Avrotros program Een Schat Aan Shaffy, in which Chris Zegers, along with artists such as Claudia de Breij, Akwasi, Marlijn Weerdenburg, and Karsu, delve into his world once again. And thats not all: in 2026, Maarten Heijmans and Cor Bakker will tour the country with their theater tour Ramses enzo!, performing his songs and sharing unique anecdotes you wont hear anywhere else. Laat Me is available as a limited edition on white vinyl and includes liner notes.
