Rachel Bolan releases his first-ever solo album and it''''s all new material!
'Gargoyle Of The Garden State" is a punk rock album produced by
multi-Grammy winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Skid Row, Rush,
Alice In Chains). Across eleven tracks, the record moves between
punchy, raw rockers and more personal, reflective moments.
The album holds an impressive lineup of guest musicians, including
Bolan''''s Skid Row bandmates Snake Sabo (guitar), Scotti Hill (guitar),
and Rob Hammersmith (drums). Joining them are a bunch of friends,
such as Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Grammy winner Nuno Bettencourt
(Extreme), Danko Jones, Steve Conte (New York Dolls), and Damon
Johnson (Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd).
For the first time on a full-length release, Bolan handles most of the lead
vocals himself. He plays all bass, most of the guitars, and takes a central
role throughout. 'I did it just for the hell of it," - he says and that sense of
freedom runs through the entire record.
