These recordings here feature incredible talents of the time, including Bill 'Count' Basie, Artie Shaw, Rudy Rutherford, Illinois Jacquet, Lester Young, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Jimmy Rushing and Thelma Carpenter.
Comes pressed on heavyweight translucent colour vinyl with detailed liner notes and imagery about wartime transcription recordings, and quotes from Big Bill Basie himself.
