Burs (the small things that stick with you). Some have
called Burs "Drone-y Mitchell," an endearing nod to
their alternative tunings and layers of ambient sonic
wash paired with gorgeously flowing song and
disarming lyrics.
Significance, Otherness was recorded in an empty
church in Toronto, capturing the rawness of live
performances in a beautiful space. These laid the beds
for layers of experimentation. At its core are songs that
feel both familiar and challenging - full of big
harmonies, crunchy guitars, propulsive drums and
arrangements adorned with world-building textures.
The band is a four-headed heart-fuelled collaboration
between some of Toronto's finest musicians. They are
the go-to backing musicians for the next generation of
their scene, collaborating with artists like Lia PappasKemps, Bells Larsen, Katie Tupper, Georgia Harmer,
Little Kid, Chastity and more.
