It's been a distance since you and I last discussed PONYTAIL hasn't it' The last we spoke PONYTAIL was riding a wave of adulation?and just cremated both sides of the Atlantic with their spectacular live show. Honestly from my eyes they were on top of the world.?But with long tours and sitting rib to rib in a van for months at a time, there comes need for a break. A time to regain what is important?to you. See, PONYTAIL was put together in a class, which maybe you already knew, so this whole thing was kind of like a little?snowball turned avalanche. Breathing room was necessary.?During recess they delved into a cake shop, solar panels, solo records, and other odds and ends. After a courtship w/ reality PONYTAIL?reemerged to record DO WHATEVER YOU WANT ALL THE TIME, the album named after some free-association-banter Molly?slang during last summer's Baltimore Music Festival Whartscape.?Like Ice Cream Spiritual the energy of Ponytail is still alive and full throttle, but on DO WHATEVER YOU WANT ALL THE TIME there is?a more sophisticated and experimental approach of the song. This is complex-intellectual pop. It's their most phenomenal album thus?far, and I'm not just saying that because I funded this hot piece.?Some speculate this is PONYTAIL's last hurrah. Is it' I really can't tell you that, but we have plans. We wouldn't release DO WHATEVER?YOU WANT ALL THE TIME otherwise.
