UK dream-pop lifers Breathless have reissued their 1999 title Blue Moon (originally released as CD only in 1999) on their long running Tenor Vossa label as both as a double LP in lavish gatefold sleeve, and as a double CD (expanded from its original 50 minutes) in a mini gatefold version of the LP. Both formats include bonus tracks 'Moonstone 3' and 'Blue Moon', previously only available as obscure B-sides. Described upon its release by The Guardian as 'exquisite melancholic indie pop', and noted by The Wire for its 'desolate romanticism', Blue Moon includes tracks mixed by Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and PJ Harvey) and Drostan Madden (The Cocteau Twins).??With a discography that dates back to 1984, Singer Dominic Appleton is also recognized for his vocal contributions to Mortal Coil's 'Filigree And Shadow', and Blood releases. Ivo Watts Russell (founder of TMC, and co-founder of 4AD) has proclaimed Without exaggeration Dominic Appleton is by far, my favorite living male vocalist. He has such a beautiful, sad voice and comes up with melodies that do the same. Breathless Guitarist Gary Mundy is also known for his work as leader of experimental psych noise band Ramleh.
